{"id":16323,"date":"2019-05-24T11:49:59","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T11:49:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.aleluia.local\/new-aleluia\/?post_type=project&#038;p=16323"},"modified":"2026-05-08T11:54:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T10:54:11","slug":"the-valega-church","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/aleluia.pt\/en\/project\/the-valega-church\/","title":{"rendered":"The V\u00e1lega Church"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A true masterpiece of the art of tile painting.<br><span id=\"more-11581\"><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The V\u00e1lega Church, also known by the \u201cPortuguese Sistine Chapel\u201d, located in the municipality of Ovar, district of Aveiro dazzles for its tiles, both inside and outside and is one of the most beautiful churches in Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a true masterpiece of the art of tile painting and one of the most impressive churches in Portugal.<br>The construction work on this impressive church began in the 18th century, in 1756 and lasted for more than a century.
