The work of Dimas Macedo is represented in several countries, mainly in France where he settled in 1956. In Portugal he left some works such as the sculptural set of Varela, Murtosa, 2005 and the sculptural set for the Metropolitano de Lisboa in 1993/94, located in Calvanas. In 1997 he made the decoration, tiles, ceramics and a sculpture of Carl Von Linnée to the Fridhemsplan station of the Stockholm metro, offer of the Lisbon metro.

Dimas Macedo died in Paris in December 2009. It was in France that his works got more relevance and some of these works can be observed in the Museum of Bourg-en-Brosse in the Alps region.
