In the project “Garden of Encounters” from Querido, Mudei a Casa, the goal was to transform the outdoor space into a balanced and welcoming environment, designed for moments of socialising and relaxation.
The choice of materials played a key role in defining the atmosphere, combining aesthetics, functionality and durability.
In the dining area, the wall takes centre stage with the New Zellige Olive wall covering. Inspired by the handcrafted aesthetics of traditional zellige, this collection features an irregular surface and a luminous finish that subtly reflects the light. The green tone adds depth and freshness to the space, creating a focal point that enhances the area beneath the pergola.
For the shower area flooring, the Deck collection was selected. Inspired by natural wood, it contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere. Its texture and colour reinforce a sense of comfort, while the ceramic properties ensure durability and easy maintenance—ideal for outdoor use.
The combination of these two solutions creates a balanced dialogue between texture, colour and materiality. The ceramic wall covering adds character and expression to the vertical surface, while the wood‑look flooring structures the space and reinforces visual continuity between the different areas of the garden.
The result is a contemporary and functional outdoor environment, where ceramics play a key role in shaping the space—bringing together aesthetics and performance to create a setting designed for living and sharing.
